Picture this: you’re setting up a training session with 20 athletes and 20 Bluetooth HR monitors. Instead of seeing clear names, every device shows up as something like “COOSPO H6 (z1x2c3)”. Matching the right band to the right athlete is slow, frustrating, and often error-prone. Coaches told us this was a real headache — so we built a fix.
Rename Bands for Clear, Simple Setup
With our latest update, you can rename HR bands directly in Pulses. Instead of cryptic codes, label each Bluetooth HR monitor with a simple name like “C1”, “Polar 2”, or “Jack C”. Pulses automatically matches the technical ID with your chosen label, making heart rate tracking setup quick and stress-free.
Real-World Use Cases
Gyms lending HR bands: Many gyms provide HR bands for group classes. With custom names, they can label devices “C1”, “C2”, “P1” (Coospo 1, Polar 2, etc.) and even add stickers. Members grab the right device instantly, and workouts start on time.
Teams managing athletes’ bands: Teams often store HR bands at the venue or players bring their own. By naming them “Jack C” or “Peter A”, coaches always know who’s connected — no mix-ups, no wasted minutes.
Why Small Changes Matter
Renaming HR bands may look like a tiny update, but it’s part of a bigger mission: making Pulses the smoothest platform for coaches to run real-time heart rate tracking and fitness tests. Just like with our Beep Test and Yo-Yo Test features, the goal is always to reduce friction so you can focus on athletes, not tech.
Built on Your Feedback
This feature was one of the most requested from our users. Thanks to your feedback, Pulses is evolving into the most coach-friendly HR monitoring tool for gyms, teams, and group training. Keep the ideas coming — we’re listening.
Make setup effortless: rename your HR bands in Pulses and keep every session running smoothly.
